Some of the most important work in the world goes unnoticed simply because it isn't being communicated well.

That belief has shaped the last 13 years of my career and continues to guide the projects I choose to be part of. Whether working alongside Indigenous communities, social enterprises, charities, sustainability initiatives or cultural organisations, I have always been drawn to meaningful work that deserves to be seen, understood and supported by wider audiences.

I'm Ana María, a bilingual Strategic Communications Specialist and Documentary Filmmaker based in London. I help organisations translate complex ideas into stories that build trust, spark connection and stay with people long after they've encountered them.

My approach is shaped by a combination of Advertising, Semiotics and Documentary Film. Advertising taught me how to communicate clearly and capture attention. Semiotics deepened my understanding of how people create meaning and connect with messages. Documentary filmmaking strengthened my ability to listen, observe and tell stories with sensitivity and authenticity. Together, they allow me to combine strategy, creativity and emotional intelligence in the way I approach communications.

Over the years, I have worked across Latin America, Australia and the UK, collaborating with communities, NGOs, charities, social enterprises, creative teams and purpose-driven organisations. What I enjoy most is helping uncover the human stories behind complex projects and finding ways to communicate them so they resonate with the people they are intended to reach.

At its best, communications is not about making more noise. It's about helping the right stories reach the right people. That's the work I care about, and the work I love doing.

If your organisation is doing work that deserves to be seen, heard and understood, I'd love to help you tell that story. Get in touch!
